Nature Playground
The first week of Term 3 saw the grand opening of our new
Nature Playground. This use of space is a fantastic new feature to our ever
changing school and we thank the P&C for all of its efforts in allowing
this to happen. Room 8 was lucky enough to have their first play on Friday, and
as you can see by the pictures below, we all had so much fun trying out all the
terrific features.

Competition
Christmas Float Competition
The students in Room 8 will be entering The West Australian, Channel 7, Media Education and ED! Magazine design a Christmas Float Competition this term.
Grab your drawing gear and have some fun creating everything we need
to design our Christmas Castle float - like towers, turrets, and spires…
all with a festive twist!
Let your imagination go wild – what else would you find in a Christmas Castle? Jousting elves? Princesses with swords? Gingerbread knights?
You can either draw the elements separately, or combine your ideas to create a bigger picture.
We’ll choose our favourite bits and pieces from everyone’s designs and put them together to build our new float for The West Australian, Channel 7, Media Education and ED! Magazine.
WIN!
Students could win $100 and an invitation to accompany our float in this year’s Pageant, as well as a cool shirt to wear!

The design will be done in class time but some children may need to finish off at home if they have not completed their entry by Week 6.
Due to cultural/religious reasons, some children may choose not to include Christmas symbols in their design.
