Anzac Wreaths

ANZAC Wreaths
The poppy was one of the few plants to grow on the barren battlefields of World War 1. It became a symbol of remembrance.
In Room 8, we made our own poppy wreaths to remember all those who sacrificed their lives so that we may live in freedom.

Thank you to all the parents, grandparents and helpers who made our beautiful wreaths for the school ANZAC ceremony.

Crazy Hair Day

Crazy Hair Day

Room 8 students looked outrageous with their crazy hair this week. We had multi-coloured hair, spiky hair, messy hair and even hair with cones and leaves for decoration!

The craziest hair!
We wrote detailed descriptions of our crazy hair characters.

Harmony Day

Harmony Day

Report by Prithul

Harmony Day is an important celebration in Australia. On the day, we celebrate multiculturalism and diversity. The one thing we must remember is that EVERYONE BELONGS!

The colour of Harmony Day is orange. Wattle Grove School celebrated by having a parade where everyone dressed in amazing costumes to represent different countries. Did you know that students at our school come from about thirty five different countries?

Remember that EVERYONE BELONGS!

Excited for Harmony Day

Three little maids are we!

Ready to parade

What a great hat!

Parading with our buddies

Waving our flags from many countries
